Just because you know it’s wrong; doesn’t make it right

This week our family was faced with the cold hard reality that life is fleeting. Short. Precious.

In our house teenagers come, go and come back again.  This is our rhythm. It is our normal.

But when that phone call comes.  The one that stops you in your tracks.  The one that makes your heart stop.  Life stops.

Fortunately, for us, and others, the call had a happy ending.

They were safe.  So many others aren’t.

But it is in the moments of decision that are our destinies are shaped. The decision to break a promise.  Bend the rules. Make a different choice.

My precious ones. Just because you know it’s wrong; doesn’t make it right.
